Go Nuts!

If you are nuts over nuts like me and love macadamia, almonds, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, pecans, peanuts and just about any other nuts, this is one delectable treat that’s just too good to resist.

Nuts over nuts ... and dark chocolate too!

Chocolate Nut Wafers

Mix together in a bowl:

  • 3/4 cup condensed milk
  • 250g dark or milk chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed roughly chopped nuts

Use a combination of pecans, hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios or whatever you have in hand.

Spread combined ingredients into a foil-lined 8 x 20 cm loaf tin. Refrigerate for hours. It can be frozen as well.

Once set, slice thinly (as possible).

Run a knife through running hot water to make slicing easier. (A tip I got from a pastry chef I worked with years ago.)

Serve with mixed berries, ice cream or on its own with coffee and liqueur.

Just too good to resist!

  1. That is delightful. I love the different colors of nuts showing through when you cut it.

Thanks! I used to make this as afternoon tea treat for the children when I was working as a cook at the local daycare center. I’ll make them first thing in the morning and then come afternoon tea break, all ready to be sliced and serve with cut up fruits. 🙂
